Former Bush press secretary Dana Perino, her feet firmly placed in Opposite World, on Fox News last night (video below) discussing President Obama’s moral obligation to label the mass shootings at Fort Hood by an Army major – and Muslim – an act of terror:
“We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush’s term,” she told Sean Hannity.
Whoa. Roll back the tape.
“We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush’s term,” she told Sean Hannity.
Perino made the comment during a conversation in which she suggested that by refusing to call the Fort Hood mass shootings a “terrorist attack,” President Obama may be playing politics.
“I hope they’re not looking at this politically. I do think that we owe it to the American people to call it what it is.”
Yes, because the political thing to do is not label the murders. The non-political thing to do is confer blame on all Muslims and then, I don’t know, maybe bomb Iran.
